The price for M2 travertine placement ranges from PLN 80 to even PLN 300, everything depends on the region of the country, from contractors’ skills and the quality of their work. The price is also influenced by the format of the tiles, whether they are filled or not, and whether the price includes impregnation.
We try to always have travertine tiles in stock, but it is a material that can be replaced sell in large quantities overnight. It is worth considering purchasing it even a few months before the planned floor installation. Then we have a guarantee that the material will be at the construction site or during renovation on time.
If the material is in stock we will deliver it to you in 2-3 business days, but if the stock level is 0 and we order something especially for you from the mine, it may take about 3 months.
Very large deposits of travertine are found in Turkey, Egypt and Italy. It is best to import travertine to Poland from Turkey and Italy.
Travertine tiles are not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Compared to ceramic tiles imitating nature, they are at an attractive price. And their biggest advantage is that they are natural. Travertine prices for M2 start from PLN 100.

Travertine tiles, like any other natural stone, are perfect for underfloor heating. It is true that they take longer to heat up, but they accumulate heat very well, distributing it evenly to the surroundings. This is an excellent choice.

The minimum grout is 1mm, but it is difficult to use, so contractors choose thicker grout, you should consider the thickness of the grout so that the tiles do not look caricatured, you can even lay them on walls without grout.
Holees in travertine are a natural element. If you are afraid of them, you can choose filled travertine – it is a smooth material, usually matte, with holes filled with putty. However, if the travertine is not filled, the grout will fill the holes perfectly.
Travertine is impregnated twice during installation and a third time 2-3 years after installation. Water- or solvent-based agents intended for stones with a natural polished and matte finish are used for impregnation. Fila W68 or Fila FOB will be perfect.
After impregnation, travertine acquires hydrophobic properties, spilling liquids float on it and do not soak in immediately. It is important not to leave spilled liquids longer than a few hours.
Tiles travertine stones should be cleaned with delicate detergents, e.g. a delicate liquid, preferably with products based on natural ingredients.
Travertine tiles are suitable for the bathroom, they are non-slip, resistant to moisture after impregnation, they can even be used in the shower.
Travertine tiles can be used outdoors on terraces and facades. Please remember that the thickness is 3 cm. It is very important that it can withstand minus temperatures in our conditions. As one of the few travertine stores, we have the largest offer of travertine tiles with a thickness of 3 cm.
Travertine can be used in the shower on the floor and walls, but it must be thoroughly impregnated to give it hydrophobic properties. This material has been used successfully in the south for centuries in bathhouses, swimming pools, etc.
You can clean travertine like any other floor, with a broom, vacuum cleaner, mop, etc., just remember not to use strong cleaning agents such as Domestos.
